this just caught me in the eye as i was doing my devotion via OUR DAILY BREAD last night.
it seems that in life, people can be very disappointing at times, even if they are really close to you. some people can promise you that they can help you out, but keep on giving you incessant, and at times invalid excuses. and sometimes, they don't respond to you at all! others can be disappointing, as they might not turn out to be what we think they are. wolves in sheep's clothing.
although we can do little the unfaithfulness of others. but we can do a lot about our own faithfulness. keeping our promises and show that we really mean them. because in the Bible, one of the fruit of the Spirit is faithfulness. God will create in us a steadfast spirit if we take seriously what we tell others we will do for them, and if we follow through.
so, i ask God, to make me a person who others can count on- who's tried and true!
