Penantian Penanti Dah Tamat!

I was at there when they announced that PKR will be contesting against three independent candidates in the Penanti state seat by-election. And compared to the previous by-elections since March 8, 2008, the turn out on nomination day was not impressive. Not as hangat as most of my counterparts expected.
Mansor Othman, PKR's man for the hour, walking among the party members and supporters.

PAS's Mat Sabu with PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim together with DAP father-son team, Lim Kit Siang (right) and Guan Eng.

Penang Chief Police Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakob looking for tips to be a politician from Guan Eng?

PR's MB Datuk Seri Nizar having a light chat with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

Even Ayub had a few laughs with Nizar. Sabar, he told Nizar.

Mansor (second from left) with independent candidates (from left) Kamarul Ramizu Idris, Nai Khan Ari and Aminah Abdullah.

But with the latest development, that Aminah claimed that PKR had offered her bribe, things could get spicer. Only four more days to campaign, can PKR keep the seat? Read the news (and blogs!)

P/S Just help my housemate unlock his room after he locked his keys in it. Feels super!~

Copy and paste!

Just got my work done, and now sitting in Sunway Carnival Mall here, on mainland. Was here for a few assignments, and will return after i walk around here. I might have dinner here.

Looks like i'll be coming here more often with the Penanti by-election coming up. So, i've got to know this place well.

Anyway, my arms, which have been aching since Friday night, are getting better. A lesson learned from that; don't enthusiastically play Wii before BBQ night!

There's a few things i want to blog about, on shocking news, arrivals (and yet to come), break-ups, relationship, etc. But i think i'll leave it for some other time. But i must remember to update my blog!

Anyway, for those who have no idea what to name their twins, take a look at this:

Smile, ya?

All Grown-up?

A few weeks ago, a schoolmate of mine in primary/secondary school got married in Batu Pahat. I knew him, Meng Yew, but wasn't very close to him. But congratulations anyway!~

Another friend of mine put on his facebook status, that one of us is now married, we're already 'that old'.

Come to think of it, i'll be turning 25 this year; a quarter of a century old.

So, here comes the question: Are we grown-up yet?

I've seen older people behaving like kids, saying stuff like,"I don't want to friend you, you are not a really friend!" or quarreling like kids in a sandbox (read: politicians here). But at the same time, i've got younger friends who never fail to amaze me with words of wisdom on advise, finance and life.

Which begs the second question: Are we mature yet?

To sidetrack a little, last Sunday, brother Geoffrey Steel preached about spiritual maturity in church. Interesting to hear a person, who has no qualifications in Bible theology, talk about how the bible is meant for everyone.

But to cut to the point, he said something about it one's decision to become mature, his own conviction.

Personally, i don't think i'm mature yet. I'm still a small potato. I still have a lot to learn, and i'm willing to take criticisms and advices from others. It's still a long way for me before i can be a sensei or master in anything. I'm no master, yet. I need to gain more experience.

In conclusion, it is not so much about age, but about us being able to handle bigger and tougher roles in life when the time comes. With experience, knowledge and wisdom in hand (together with God's guidance), will we be able to be better individuals.

Then, you're a grown-up, i suppose.

Shikamaru: My master entrusted me with a lot, from big things to little things.
It's the same for you... and unlimited number of things.
Don't you think its about time for us?
Naruto: Time for what?
Shikamaru: To be the ones that entrust, not the entrusted. It's a pain in the ass, but i can't say that.
Naruto:...!
Shikamaru: Someday, you'll be the one to treat others ramen. And you will be called Master Naruto.
We can't stay kids forever.
Like Asuma and Jiraiya, i wanna be as cool as them.

P/S I should start reading more of my friends' blogs. I puked earlier this week. But all's good now.

Mussings from the island.

Hmm... i haven't been chatting with a lot of friends since i've come to the island. I suppose while others will come home at night from school/college/university/work and log onto MSN messenger, i normally turn it on at work after i get my stories done. And i don't have an connectivity in my room.

Speaking of which, i'm now living in a flat, no more in a room on top of a coffee shop here. Still living and working in the island, and despite the ups and downs, i love it here!

Got a new pair of spectacles, which did a serious number to my wallet. Well, it's lighter and good lah, getting used to it. After all, it has been five years since i got my last pair, which i still use when i'm at home.

My nose bleed for the past few days. But it's not so serious to the point i pass out due to lack of blood. And i'm still doing fine, after recovering from a flu (no, no swine flu here... i mean, Influenza A (N1H1)!). But i got this feeling that i might fall ill one of these days.

Just can't stand hearing another civilian fell victim to snatch theft, which have been rampant of late. Hmmm... i suppose when the economic is bad, some resort to the evil of stealing to put bread on the table. But is it worth taking another's life?

*sigh* Well, i just submit this to God, and let Him deal with those who are wrong lah.

Anyway, Happy Mothers' Day to all mothers (and moms-to-be) out there!~ Have a nice day!~
