attracting attention!

do you all have any idea what day it was last Thursday (24th of Feb?)

on that morning, as i was in the bus in KL, there was this weird procession of a Hindu or Tamil religion going on. and the best part was it was heading towards the Indian Temple in KL, through the opposite route! it did draw a lot of attention from passer bys. and it was worth getting up early to attend Pengajian Malaysia lecture.

but then again, with the music and bunch of jovial people dancing and hanging around the parade will be a center of attraction even if it was going the right direction!

the day Valentine owns.

today is the 21st of February. and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what last Monday was.

it wasn't such a significant day for me, except the fact that this year i was out whooping pieces of chicken at Hart's Chicken Buffet with Aaron, Enoch, and Hui Wen, skipped Culture Studies lecture and stayed up the whole night doing the CF newsletter!

i can remember what happened last year, on the same day. it was a working Saturday, and add in the fact that it was also the day that the LE TOUR DE LANGKAWI was passing through KL. by the time it was 12 pm, it turned out to be a horrendous combination that held up the traffic!

anyway, i've found this
link that explains about the history of Valentine's Day, who's this martyr called Saint Valentine, and why is this non-holiday event celebrated worldwide.

by the way, it's Valentine's Day, not like the oh-so-wrongly-pronounced "valentine day!" know your stuff before saying it!

this guy looks a little... loveless? it's St. Valentine.

.
the only Valentine i like is Vincent Valentine! his coolness and blurriness rocks!

man don't cry: they bottle up.

when this article has nothing to do with dandy man or the after effects of cutting bulbs of onions. it's just about me.

today, Ken Ming left Malaysia for Melbourne to further his studies. and the last time i saw him was last week, when he invited Enoch, Letchumanan and i to his humble, little house for Chinese New Year. it was great to meet up with ex-school/classmates after a long, long time. it was great. Ken Ming maybe annoying and loud at times, but he really knows his stuff, and knows how to entertain people.

it seems like people are going their own ways. from being in school, to going into colleges and universities doing different courses. maybe they're doing much better than i? i'm not doing too good, am i?

speaking about leaving, my close buddy, Justin Yap, has left for Adelaide, Australia last night (Wednesday.) quite a number of us were there. from our church, his family, Megan's dad, Uncle Glenn and family, Kevin and Ian, Pastor Lisa, Sis Yoon Foen and Shawn, and myself. his band members, Judson, Enoch and Jason Tong. and friends from HELP, Sharon, Melissa Chew and Stephen. and the people who were there to send him off weren't five girls to two guys, as predicted. (still, Justin has a group of groupies!)

when he went off to the gate, he was at the wrong gate (?), and everyone keeps shouting at him to get into the other gate. another group of friends sending some other fellow of sang a song for her. we aren't as organized and more touchy as those girls were.

Justin. i got to know him when i just entered Revival Centre, and both he and Kevan are the friends i know from my childhood, and we are close. and we grow up together. we were closer since i was in the youth. and Justin and i were closer, but the three of us were together most of the time. i would share my problems, dreams, interest and many insignificant information with him, and likewise. good time and sad time, laughter and tears were shared together. and now, he's gone to another place.

it would be another one and a half years when he'll return. i'm missing him. every bald guy i see reminds me of him. i'm feeling really, really down.

i don't cry. was near that level. i bottled up.

offended by being offensive!

i have no idea what i'm repelling others today. i really have no idea.

let me give you an example. this morning before reaching my campus, there was a seat beside me in the bus. a girl came up the bus, but decided to stand, despite being told by the bus conducter to take a sit. another girl came out, and the history repeated itself.

in the toilet a few hours ago, as i entered pass the door, Wing Hooi immediately dashed from the basin to the urinal stand to take a leak. i was shocked. he avoided me.

why? i have no idea. maybe i'm repulsive? maybe i'm just sleepy.

*sigh* i really want to get some shut eyes.

and i can't find the FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST music CD.

of cleaning, discovering and dumb acts!

once again, insommia has consumed me, left me sleepless for another night!

to cope with such situation, i've decided to clean up my room (something i have been itching to do since last year!) with my desk being moved from it original position, it gave me another reason to clear up my room.

FYI, i did not clear up the whole room, just part of it. i cleared up the documents and paper that were accumulating on my desk, and also arranged my CD rack. and you'll be surprised to find lots of stuff that i thought disappeared into the black hole. and stuff that i didn't know i had!

i found countless forms for different events that i thought vanished. i found some transparency sheets, that count have come in handy for my presentation last week. i found lots of trash that initially had some value. but what's of no value is no different from trash.

after almost two hours, the room looked neater than it was before. and i arranged my CDs. it seems that i have more Christian albums than Japanese Anime Soundtracks. and i only had 4 pirated circular CDs. (i've learnt! i ain't going to buy pirated albums no more!) and there were some CDs that belong to my friends. before blogging, i took the liberty to check out the content.

the CD was from Joshua to Silas, labelled:

"To: Silas Liew
CD Pic."

hmm... curiousity got the better of me, and i opened the file. in it, were picture files and video files. those look familiar. there were taken of Joshua's new digicam. and boy, was it hilarious! Silas made a lot of dumb comments and well... i can't say a lot, just that it's really, really wacky. basically, Joshua took photos and videos of what we do in Home Group meetings and at Mamak. so Silas, if you're reading this entry, PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR THE CD!

and as i look into the video, i find myself sounding really, really funny! do i sound funny?

i ponder that question, as i listen to Sonic Flood's album, SONICPRAISE.

CAT-astrophe: the continuation.

Clavin and Hobbes. it seems that the only picture of a cute cat i have around in my computer. (i consider Hobbes the tiger to be part of the cat family. DEAL WITH IT!) Posted by Hello

i bet many of you out there would wanna know what happened to that poor little kitten later, eh? so, let me continue to tell a tale of what was the fate of this young kitty!

after i left it out there, i went upstairs, told Ernest what i've done to the cat, and took a shower. boy, was it a long day for me. as i went downstairs again, i was curious to see what has happened to this kitten. curiousity got the better off me (as they say, curiousity kills the cat. thank goodness i'm NOT ONE!) and to my suprise, it was still up on the pillar.

out of sympathy, i took it off that high spot, and brought it into the house. it was against what my brother wanted, but please don't tell him that, ok? so, i played with the kitten a little. from putting socks around it and teasing it, till feeding it and letting it sleep. i was there witnessing the little rascal putting up a show in my living room. i felt relaxed watching it.

after that, i realised, all this poor little creature wanted was to find a nice warm place to rest. as noturnal as it is, it also wanted to rest. so, i put the feline outside, and it finally slept comfortably in between some rags near my bicycle. and so can i have my rest on my fluffy bed too.

the next morning, my maid wasn't that please with it being around the house. hmm... this reminds me of how much i don't want her here as well!

* to all feline lovers, i didn't not harm the kitten in anyway. i may not know where it is, but it ain't meowing in front of my porch these days!

what a way to go!

TWO celebrations in a day, and all this happened yesterday....

SURPRISE no. 1.
the class of JR One (Jan 2005) celebarted one of our classmate, Wing Hooi's birthday yesterday. so, we planned a surprised for him. our class rep, Chin Han, called all of us together at the cafeteria. as we all gathered there 12:30 pm sharp, we made a "disappointing announcement"; he was going to quit his pose, and pass it our to our classmate, Nicholette.

it was tensed, as Wing Hooi was wondering what the heck was going on. so, we had to play along spontaneously. I-Ling acted furious to get away from the table, Chin Han thought of why he wanted to quit, etc. moments before the cake arrived, i gave a "serious speeching," saying what we are to do in this "situation." then the cake appeared, and Wing Hooi was indeed surprised!

hmmm... we should switch from Journalism to Drama Class! hahaha!~

SURPRISE no. 2.
also, after Combined Youth meeting in church, we had a celebration of our own; Ivan and Justin's farewell.

on that night, we had Pastor Caleb (can't remember which church he's from....) over, as he talked about "Hand Over," with his talk refering to the book of Joshua Chapter 14... he talked about Caleb (err... not himself, but the one in the Bible!) being one of the spies, entering into the Promise Land, and wants to claim it. plus, he was 85 years old, and still has the strength to want to claim it! all this, with him handing his life to God. are you willing to hand your LIFE to Him?

anyway, after that, we had Pot Bless, as each of us brought something to contribute to the pile of food there. surprisingly, there were a lot of roti canai and chicken nuggets left, and no fruits or veggies there... weird, eh?

and after that, we prepared a surprised for both these two leaving youths. NO, not the wallets and brieves they received (no idea who gave each of them a B.U.M. brief though.) but we had eggs, flour, and coke. hmmm... these three ingredients and youths don't make a good combonation.

Justin tried to frantically escape, with resistence is futile. i felt sympathtic as i see Justin being attacked and decorated with flour and eggs. as a friend, i approached him, asking him how he was, and threw some flour into his eyes. he attacked me, but wiping his egged-floured head all over my t-shirt. there goes the sympathic feeling. and like the others, crazily threw flour on each other, i was one of them.

from a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the totally covered with flour and what so, i was at 3.5, with flour on my t-shirt, and some on my head. Justin was at 9. and Ivan was at 7.5. while John Reuben and Shawn were at 8, Jeremy was given a full treatment, till he was at 8.

as Rowen drove the car, and Ernest a little worried about me and my condition, we went back home. *phew* what a day!

eh, what's this white sticky stuff behind my ear?

CAT-astrophe!

i just came back from prayer meeting at church, and i found my brother Ernest at the front door, being stalked by this thing. it was bugging my brother, that even the milk and food given was left untouched, and insisted of entering the house. i had to intervine!

i entertained this unwanted guest for awhile. mind you, i just came back after a long day in university and coming back home after almost 14 hours out of this house. but it insisted on wanting to come into my house. with it's motive unknown, it was persistence to see what my un-interesting place have to offer.

but after playing with it for a while, i have decided to leave this fellow outside, on the pillar, ignoring its cry. it is now disorientated as i'm typing this blog.

"Meow! Meow!~"

* an apology to all cat and kitten lovers alike, for if you think what i done is cruel. i was out of ideas then. i was irritated!
