Some people can be dense... and ignorant if i may add. Perhaps it's an abuse good deed. But whose to say that, expect for one who knows the truth.
Take this afternoon for instance, where my colleagues and i have been receiving a number of text messages that sounded like this:-
Urgent! If u c a car
W** 23** wira aero
green color pls call to
police.a 18yrs chinese
gal just kidnapped by
5 malays at parade
rooftop carpark.pls
help 2 fwd
Or something along those lines.
Message as such have been forwarded, without checking the credibility or asking the person forwarding it if he/she has the slightest idea of the actual picture. But from this e-mail, some questions came to mind:
1. Where on earth did it happened?
- it states 'parade rooftop carpark'. Which parade? Klang Parade? Subang Parade? Ipoh Parade? Mahkota Parade? Merdeka Celebration Parade? ID Parade?! Though an sms is short, but the needed info of indication should have been included?
Surprisingly, some smses stated 'Subang Parade'. I presumed they assume with the letter W in the number plate, it's KL. Ergo, it must be in KL?
For crying out loud! Ernest drives a car with a Penang registration car, but his house is in KL, likewise for Rowen who drives a car with Selangor number plate!
2. When did it happened?
- No date/time mentioned. For all i know, this happened three years ago!?
3. Authencity
- Some sick numbskulls decided that it's fun to go around spreading false rumors and wasting people's money.
Same goes to forwarded e-mails that speaks of free handphone, instant cash and a boy who needs donation for a kidney transplant badly. How true can all of this be?
Kind intentions and good names have been tarnished thanks to insensitive pranks and morons.
Thanks a lot, bus-tard(s)!
Working at the press company as its perks. One of them is that you get to hear a lot of stories and truths. And this was the truth about the whole incident from crime reporter, Charles Ramendran.
- The girl was kidnapped at Ipoh Parade on Monday night (August 28), by five people in the green car with the KL registration number. After the forty minutes 'joyride', the girl was thrown out the car, unharmed, unviolated and in one piece.
They later abandon the car, which was discovered by the police on the same night.
Case still under investigation.
Can you say SPAM?
Love & Peace!~
