Last week, the right sole of my shoe had issues and decided to tear apart. That coupled with the fact i needed my own pair of shoes prompted me to purchase one.
On Saturday, after searching around my area here on the island, i finally decided to go with the one from Bata shoe shop. I wished i had bought it a couple of weeks back when the sales was on, so that i wouldn't have coughed out RM70 for this pair of shoes.
This is the pair of shoe i bought.
Before i wore it, i bite the shoe - it's something my papa told me about, so that the new shoes may not 'bite' you back. In laymen terms, prevents blisters. And surprise surprise, it worked!
As long as it takes me from one place to another, it does not really matter.
Anyway, here are more food pictures from the Island here:
As boring murtabak can be back in KL, this one actually does not! Unlike how it is prepared before hand and just heated up when ordered, this one is made freshly then and there. Enjoy each bite of it with extra syrup-dyed onion!
Curiosity killed the cat, but this medicated tea is just darn bitter. Maybe as bitter and black as shout, but it's good to cool down the body, cure fever, cold and a remedy to other things as well. Must try at least once!
Hmmm! The Teochew cendol here is just simple awesome! The stall is located at Lebuh Keng Kwee, off Penang road. A must try!
The rojak here in Penang is something i enjoy. But whether it's rojak or pasembor, this messed up delicacies should be tasted lah!
A scene from Sg Dua on Penang mainland. Would wondering off there in green pastures enables one to find his soul? Maybe one can find a shoe or two left in the paddy field?
"...Hey, I put some new shoes on,
and suddenly everything is right,
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling,
it so inviting,
Oh, short on money,
but long on time,
slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,
and i'm running late,
and i don't need an excuse,
'cause i'm wearing my brand new shoes..."

How do you exactly 'bite' the shoes?
Oh!
Thanks for pointing it out, John Rueben!
Don't bite the front part of the shoe, just take a small, subtle bite at the back of the shoe; the top part of the heel.

Ah.. So that particular area weakens/softens? Does it work that way? I'm so curious.
Hm. This is the first time I hear something "bite the shoe to prevent blister." Haha.
Hm. Does it only work for men's shoe? Or works with any other shoes?
Am curious.
