A Day To Show Love To The Ones You Care.

This year is the first time i'm actually celebrating Valentine's Day with my dear, Melissa D! Technically, we celebrated it yesterday... on Friday the 13th!

Steering clear from superstition, Melissa D and i started the day jogging nearby her place with Aunty Moy early in the morning. But it was cut short when it started to rain. So, we hanged out at Melissa D's for awhile.

Then, both of us had lunch at TGI Friday's in Queensbay Mall before watching Bride Wars. Lunch was good and very filling (spent over RM100 for two) while the movie was funny, but has a holey plot.

I managed to get Melissa D a watch (and yes, it was affordable. I can imagine the number of people dissing me now) and she loved it. For me, i believe in getting something practical and has long-term usage, rather than getting something at the spur of the moment, and ends up collecting dust in one corner of the cupboard.

The Valentine Day's card and watch i got for her.

The day ended with us heading to Paul and Michelle's place for cell group meeting after dinner nearby their place. And we had an interesting time of sharing and reflecting!

And today, on Valentine's Day, it seems to be crowded everywhere here on the island. For what reason, it alludes me. While Melissa D had to work, i had some duties at church, helping out with the Radiant Kids Club.

Anyway, now i'm here with her, and we're planning to watch some movie on DVD after dinner and apple crumble cheesecake.

I believe Valentine's Day have been over commercialised and flowers, roses in particular, becomes exponentially expensive. Like my brother said, i pity those who paid for over priced roses.

Well, i suppose i'll get Melissa D flowers, some other time. Maybe end of the month.

" Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound

And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes..."

I am a supporter for practical presents, especially something that I need at that time :) Good choice of a watch. What a girl wants is not something expensive but something her dearest picked with heart :) Cheers brother!
