Updated: Ver 2.0.

Finally, i've updated my blog's improved layout. What do you think?

I've forgotten a lot of source-codes, since i rarely touched my template or deal with it this year. But i managed to maintained whatever i had in the previous layout, like the pictures and certain fonts.

Old and outdated. I guess we need to move on at some point off time.

Sorry for the glaring words, since the old layout had a dark background, and this one is white. A lot of changes will be done.

More stuff to blog about and many things are yet to come.

Year 2.

So busy am i that i failed to realise that my blog has already turned two years old! Being the owner/administrator/writer for this blog, it's embarassing to totally omit the anniversary of this blog. So so blur!

Well, will be going off to Pasir Puteh, Perak tonight... but Joanne Lee says otherwise. Gotta get the info right and get this over with now.

I guess i'll change the layout of this blog. But it depends on time and accessiblity to the Net.

Anyway, happy birthday to BOGGLED BOUT BLURCHU'S BLOG!~

I Skipped Death: A Wonderful Trip to Pedu Lake

* This is the entry which should have been up last week. Apologies.

Pedu What?

It's Pedu Lake, situated about 50 km away from Alor Setar, Kedah. It's an interesting place where i was sent to in a junket by the company.

Welcome to Kedah. This is a paddy field. This is the first time BlurChu? see paddy field. An acheivement. Wee!~

Interesting thing is that what used to be hills, valleys and village decades ago is now turn into a a vast man-made lake, thanks to the dam built in 1969. And what we see now is how nature make her way and preserved herself. Beautiful.

A shot of Pedu Lake during the sunset. Picture taken while i was on the boat. Nice natural lighting.

Get to know people from different newspapers. Though, i may not remember the names of most of the reporters, i actually enjoyed myself as a member of the junket.
Saw wild animals, even otters and crayfish. Heard there are also bears, black panthers and wild boars roaming the jungles there. And the hiking and jungle trekking hurt muscles in my body than i haven't felt pain in a long, long time!

Click the picture to read what i wrote in it.

I almost die while tempting to complete one of the 13 Element Challenge. I climbed up the spider web and as i was going down to the other side, i missed my step and plunged head first towards the ground. Everything when black before i came about with my face on inches away from the ground. This was what i saw before i hit the net:

Seriously, it was like this!

You know, when people talk about events in your life flashing before your face before you meet your Maker? All i saw was dark black-ness. Nothing. Was i worried that i might have actually die? I really have no idea.

But if i have to guess, i might have saw death itself, and just smiled at it. If i am gone then, then i've wasted my time trying to get a good CGPA, saving my money, keeping my promises with other and updating my blog.

My life isn't as cheap like this fishes or Red Talapia to be exact. These are the little fishes at the kelungs in Pedu Lake; viciously hungry at all times!

But nonetheless, i feel alive when i'm dying, or at least near death. But God is indeed protecting me.

"...Dreaming of Zion, awake
Can't stop sleeping awake

Do you see what I see?
And can you hear what I hear?
Do you feel what I feel?
Can't stop sleeping awake
Do you see what I see?
And can you hear what I hear?
Do you feel like I feel?
Can't stop sleeping..."

PS: Seeing the One In A Million finale competition was fun. Not only was Suki famous that night, but so did i when i asked her a question during the 'live' press conference! Ha.

Where Am I Going?

Right now, i'm still sitting in the office. Perhaps i'll just move once i post this entry up.

There's some problem with the server, so i can't blog about my trip to Pedu Lake a.k.a my second encounter with Death.

Eddie from the sports desk gave me a few ideas on what to post. I'll be thinking about it. (And i know you're laughing as you're reading this, Eddie!)

Anyway, today Justin Yap and a couple other of my friends are celebrating their birthday, and i missed out the CF Camp for the planning retreat for CF PJ the following week. I bet they're having a ball now.

Right now, i'm just confused. Lacking sleep, low on motivation and faith misplaced; I really need to just sit back after this industrial training and re-evaluate my priority.

If i would to state my status now, it would be:

"LOST, EVERYWHERE."

"...This generation is full of religion
Fed up with a diet of nothing
Give me the real thing flowing through my veins
This is the day, this is the hour
Show me the truth cos I want to be blinded
I wanna run, which way should I go?

Gravity's pulling me, but heaven is calling me..."

Five Years Ago.

I can still remember what my brother told me five years on this day, when it happened.

He just got off the phone with his friend, when his friend's brother was telling him (my brother's friend) that the building that King Kong climbed was in smokes.

Flipping the TV on and watching the news, i was dumbfounded, not to the fact Empire States building wasn't on fire, but the World Trade Centre in US was on fire. To make matters worse, another plane crashed into the other building later. It was like a scene from a movie.

Seriously, i can't believe it actually happened when i saw recordings of it on Michael Moore's movie, Bowling for Columbine. It was a short scene of it in the documentary movie.

In remembrance of those who lose their lives senselessly to this disaster, and to brave hearts who died in the line of duty.

Ground Zero at the break of dawn; what's left of the WTC today.

Events like this makes me feel proud to be in a safe haven like Malaysia. "Hujan emas di negara orang, hujan batu di negara sendiri."

Swimming with the Allis

I got so caught up in doing my stuff that i totally forgot to create a post for the late Steve Irwin (1962-2006).

I still remember watching this crocodile hunter on TV, and hearing comments about him being mad and fearless for doing the things he do.

Stingray kills croc hunter Steve Irwin

SYDNEY: Steve Irwin, the quirky Australian naturalist who won worldwide acclaim as TV's khaki-clad "Crocodile Hunter", was killed by a stingray barb through the heart while filming a new documentary on Monday.
Irwin, 44, tangled with some of the world's most dangerous animals but he died in an extremely rare attack by a normally placid sea creature while he was diving on a reef off Port Douglas in northern Queensland.
"He came over the top of a stingray and the stingray's barb went up and went into his chest and put a hole into his heart," Irwin's shocked manager John Stainton told reporters in Cairns, south of Port Douglas.
A helicopter rushed paramedics to nearby Low Isles where Irwin was taken for treatment, but he was dead before they arrived, emergency officials said.
"It became clear fairly soon that he had non-survivable injuries," Dr Ed O'Loughlin, who treated Irwin, told Nine Network television.
"He had a penetrating injury to the left front of his chest. He had lost his pulse and wasn't breathing," he said.
Irwin's death was likely only the third recorded fatal stingray attack in Australia, experts said. They said stingray venom was agonizingly painful but not lethal, although the barb was capable of causing horrific injuries like a knife or bayonet.
"It's not the going in, it's the coming out," Australian Venom Research Unit deputy director Dr Bryan Fry told Reuters.
"They have these deep serrations which tear and render the flesh as it comes out," he said

I must admit that i'm not a great fan of him, but i admire the fact he's a nature conservist and a wonderful animal lover - those explain the fact he's comfortable around dangerous animals, which occasionally did injured him.

Guess the stingray got the cake for taking his life. Sad though, that something he admired and loved as much as his life took away his.

Steve Irwin. I guess he died doing what he loves doing.

Star-struck in the Deep End

Many of my friends are celebrating Merdeka this week. Not because they're over patriotic or forgot to look at the calender, but for the fact their internship (or for some, sentence) have finally ended. Now, all they need to do is to complete and compile their final report.

As for me, i've extended my internship and currently working in the entertaining department. I presume a lot of people think being in the Entertainment/Lifestyle Desk is fun. I will not lie to you; it is.

But do keep in mind, the pressure here is high, at least for me. These past few days, not only have i been attending normal press conference, but i've been to a buffet, a media screening and not too long ago, an interview with three hot babes.

It's fun getting to meet celebrities like Bernard Chauly (director of Gol & Gincu and now, Goodbye Boys) with the actors and actress and also interviewing the girls of Cornetto Love? Perhaps. It is, but i'm trying my best to create a good article from these events.

And it ain't easy. I think i'm just slipping away or rather, drowning with everything around me.

Being in this department, i feel like i've been thrown to the deep end of the pool. And if i don't swim, i'll sink.

I want swim.

A scene of Goodbye Boys by Bernard Chauly, a must watch movie! Do catch it on Sept 22 and 23 at GSC 1 Utama or The Curve.
