I'm working today, but I Love Malaysia.

Happy 49th National Day, Malaysia!~
No use ranting over the fact i'm working on a public holiday. One thing, i was off yesterday and another is i've got most of my work done for the day. So, nothing much to complain about - i just wanted to tell a little on what happened at AdBall 2006, which i was part of.

Held on August 18 in Mandarin Oriental, AdBall is an appreciation night to advertisers and marketers. With cash prizes to be won, we decided to join in for the money.

This is theSun's band, The Rising Sun. Can you see the tattoos on my face?
We didn't have a drummer. Weird, eh?

In the end of the day, after days of rehearsing and practice, we failed to win any prizes. But hey, at least there was free food, drinks and bandanas given. Plus, we had a ball there!

The Rising Sun rocking on the stage in front of thousands.
Did we make fools of ourselves? I don't wanna answer that.

Click here for more info on the story

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said I did it my way
I just wanna live while
I'm alive It's my life

Taken from the chorus of Bon Jovi's It's My Life

And to everyone else, enjoy the day.

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

I can feel the patriotism oozing off these little kids. I guess they can shout out loud -
"Nama saya SAM - Saya Anak Malaysia!"

Cute.

Know What You Know?

Some people can be dense... and ignorant if i may add. Perhaps it's an abuse good deed. But whose to say that, expect for one who knows the truth.

Take this afternoon for instance, where my colleagues and i have been receiving a number of text messages that sounded like this:-

Urgent! If u c a car
W** 23** wira aero
green color pls call to
police.a 18yrs chinese
gal just kidnapped by
5 malays at parade
rooftop carpark.pls
help 2 fwd

Or something along those lines.

Message as such have been forwarded, without checking the credibility or asking the person forwarding it if he/she has the slightest idea of the actual picture. But from this e-mail, some questions came to mind:

1. Where on earth did it happened?
- it states 'parade rooftop carpark'. Which parade? Klang Parade? Subang Parade? Ipoh Parade? Mahkota Parade? Merdeka Celebration Parade? ID Parade?! Though an sms is short, but the needed info of indication should have been included?
Surprisingly, some smses stated 'Subang Parade'. I presumed they assume with the letter W in the number plate, it's KL. Ergo, it must be in KL?
For crying out loud! Ernest drives a car with a Penang registration car, but his house is in KL, likewise for Rowen who drives a car with Selangor number plate!

2. When did it happened?
- No date/time mentioned. For all i know, this happened three years ago!?

3. Authencity
- Some sick numbskulls decided that it's fun to go around spreading false rumors and wasting people's money.

Same goes to forwarded e-mails that speaks of free handphone, instant cash and a boy who needs donation for a kidney transplant badly. How true can all of this be?

Kind intentions and good names have been tarnished thanks to insensitive pranks and morons.

Thanks a lot, bus-tard(s)!

Working at the press company as its perks. One of them is that you get to hear a lot of stories and truths. And this was the truth about the whole incident from crime reporter, Charles Ramendran.

- The girl was kidnapped at Ipoh Parade on Monday night (August 28), by five people in the green car with the KL registration number. After the forty minutes 'joyride', the girl was thrown out the car, unharmed, unviolated and in one piece.
They later abandon the car, which was discovered by the police on the same night.
Case still under investigation.

Can you say SPAM?

We Are Family.

I left this post untouched for so long that if i were to leave it any longer, it'll become news-worthiless. So, better get it typed now than later!

Last week i manage to meet up with my relatives who came down from Hong Kong; Uncle Ong, Auntie Karen, Joel, Justin and Victor. They were down in KL for two nights, and if i didn't get myself down to the hotel on Thursday night, i might not see them again for the rest of the year.

It's funny that when you were younger, it's difficult to strike a conversation with someone, even with a family member. But as time passes by, you get better and more confident in it. I literately dominanted the whole conversation, mainly talking about my internship and information i gained working in the press company.

But to my surprise, i didn't know that Joel, who will turn 15 in a few days time, has interest in bass guitar and drums! Plus, he has a bass guitar of his own! That's just righteous!

Anyway, bonding with family gave me that warm-huggie feeling inside (I've got a heart, ok!) and taught me that its important to always keep the people you love and care close around you always.

"She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine..."

Wholesome Fun!

As i'm typing this entry, i'm timing myself as i have to rush down to KL for an assignment soon. Plus, my hands are aching and i'm still a little sleepy. But the best thing is that i did enjoy myself last night at the CF BBQ Party in Dewgem's house!

It was a ball... though the chicken wings (aka krakens) were a little tough to shallow. It's a little rubbery but edible, plus the company was great. And the games played were hilarious! It feels good to miggle among the new CF members that i've not met since i'm undergoing my internship.

While Sui Li, Tan Joanne and Chong Keen and the new recruits headed home early, the rest of us, Michelle, Jessica, Jun, Dewgem, Joshua Wong, David, Lai Seng and myself were chatting in Dewgem's house, which we later moved to the mamak stall nearby to continue the laughters and conversation.

I can tell you, though i reached home at around 3 in the morning, i felt great. Reason being, it's great to have friends around you, even if we're just talking downright plain nonsense! And CF dudes are awesome!

*Yawn* Gotta go for my assignment now!

"Beyond this physical terrain
There's an invisible domain
Where angels battle over souls in vast array
But down on earth is where I am
No wings to fly, no place to stand
Here on my knees I am a stranger in this land

I need an intervention
A touch of providence
It goes beyond religion
To my very circumstance"

Glory Faded.

There have been so many things going on that i don't even have time to sit in front of a computer to blog until now. But even as i'm blogging, i'm feeling under the weather. But nonetheless, a lot has been going on for the past couple of weeks.

I'm now having a spliting headache and a sore-throat after last night's AdBall 2006. I'll tell you all bout it some other time, as there's not much glory in telling it now.

Anyway, i was at Wisma MCA just now to meet Eng Han and some other friends there as it was the third day of the UTAR convocation. The first two days were held last weekend. Missed it as i had to work then.

I was there to see my seniors and congratulate them. But not only did i not know that it was over at around 5pm, but the graduates from Mass Comm Studies and Business Admin were the ones graduating today. I couldn't help it but avoided them till Eng Han arrived at the building.

Perhaps it's because i was afraid to meet people from my past, or just to embarassed to admit my failures and face the people i know then. Bloggers like Imm Imm, Sherlene, Joan Ng and Wern Jun would know what i'm talking about now.

Anyway, met old friends like Thang Yee, CK and Sheau Pei at the convocation and did talk to them before both Eng Han and i headed for dinner in KLCC and had a chat after not meeting each other for almost a year. As we headed towards KLCC, i told him about where i stand now, and this was part of the conversation:

Eng Han: Everyone has their own journey. And each journey leads down to a different road.
Me: And mine led me to Loserville....
(Laughters)

Perhaps i did make a wrong turn somewhere in these past few years. If i didn't make the wrong choices then, i could have been one of those wearing a robe and holding a scroll.

I'm just tired now. Probably i should stop drowning myself in sorrow, but let me stay awhile longer before i can stand up strong again...

"... Tell me all your thoughts on God,
Cause I am on my way to see her.
So tell me am I very far -
Am I very far now?

Its getting cold picked up the pace
How our shoes make hard noises in this place
Our clothes are stained
We pass many, cross eyed people
And ask many questions
Like children often do..."

Faham Tak?

Last Friday, when Combined Homegroup Youth Meeting, right after we celebrated Pastor Lisa's and Fook Sim's birthday, most of the youth a card, in either a black or pink envelope.

Fortunately for me, a black envelope was passed to me, and this was the content in the envelope:

* It took me 30 minutes to make a jpeg version of the invitation card. Looks similar, expect for the modification of information and the picture within it.

I knew it was an invitation to probably a birthday party. But when i read the card, there was no mention of what-so-ever event. I was puzzled, and fortunately not that blur.

If you were blur (read: Oliver, Pek Mei and many others), i bet this is one of the events you might think will be going on:

a. Three Wanted Escapees - Shoot To Kill contest

b. Beauty Pagent - Top 3 finalist

c. Combined Birthday Party

d. Have you seen them? Search Party Gathering.

e. Beauty Product Launch by the founders event

It looked more like a 'B' and 'E' event possiblities to me. What do you think?

I called out to my friend who handed me this card, not because of the content, but because of what it was written on the envelope. It said:

- BERNARD CHIA -

Who on earth is Bernard Chia? Well, my name is Bernard, but it ain't Chia, gal! It's BERNARD CHEAH! I was furious when my name was mispelled. Then again, a lot of people are.
But that's all water under the bridge and the birthday girls apologied for their mistake. The only question now is to go or not to go?

The Rojak Series #12

There has been no Rojak Series for awhile, though i did eat some during the Media night held a couple of weeks back. That place was packed! Anyway, let's jump straight to it:

1. Makan, makan and more makan!

Today, after having a nice Chinese Dim Sum dinner with my family, i joined the other colleagues from the company at a friendly bowling competition in Mid-Valley, though i didn't get to play. But watching others playing was entertaining itself. I wonder how good i am now.

Later, we all went to Piccolo Mondo on the 1st floor for Italian food. I tell you, the food there's good! We ate the pasta and pizza till we couldn't eat anymore, only to discover the main course was coming soon. The chicken was good, but it would have been better if my tummy wasn't over filled!

Just now, dad insisted on having a Chinese dinner outside when there was pizza at home.

*BURP!* I guess i shouldn't eat too much tomorrow. Think of those children in Bosnia; i'm robbing food from their mouth while i'm over-eating here. Selfish me.

2. WWWEEEEE!

Was supposed to go to Sunway Lagoon with the other youths today, but when there late because of the afternoon event mentioned above. Though, when i reached there, i bumped into some of them, as they were heading towards McDonald's in Pyramid and later going back home.

Anyway, i had a blast by myself even after they left. Couldn't let my RM20 go to waste. So, i went on by myself.

Only regret was i didn't get to go to the water park or walk through the whole suspended bridge. And when the sign at the ride says: "You'll be wet after sitting this ride", take their word for it.

3. LOST-ed again!

The second season of LOST was shown on AXN this week. I couldn't believe the ending was left hanging like that again. I was speechless when i saw the last few minutes of it. But i can safely say, there'll definately be season three.

Oh, the suspence, the anticipation and the drama!

Will be waiting for it. I just hope my anticipation for the series doesn't die down like how it did for JJ Abram's other series, Alias. That was a letdown for me.

Desmond: Three days before you came down here, before we met, I heard a banging on the hatch doors, shouting. But it was you John, wasn't it? You say there isn't any purpose, there's no such thing as fate. But you saved my life, brother, so that I could save yours.

Locke: No, no, no, no! None of this is real! Nothing is gonna happen, we're gonna be OK!

Desmond: I've gotta go. And you've gotta get as far away from here as possible.

Locke: Go where? Stop!

Desmond: I'm gonna blow the dam, John! I'm sorry for whatever happened that made you stop believing. But it's all real. And now I've gotta go and make it all go away.

Locke: Wait! Desmond!

Desmond: I'll see ya in another life, brother!

4. No spamming, PLEASE!

Few days back, i've discovered that my blog has been spammed.

Not by buggers who wants to sell you cheap, unreliable junk online or speaks of nonsencial messages, but people who post racial and sensitive issues!

Please, i beg you readers. You may read and post comments relevent to my entries. If not, just move to another blog.

Didn't you hear what the government said about blogs with sensitive information few days back? Take note.

5. Being a Journo

This is a term coined by some of the journalists here. Anyway, there's a lot to learn besides being accurate, quick and knowing the right questions to ask.

Like knowing what's the bowl of water with a slice of lemon is for when they serve prawns at dinner functions. Or when lunch in serve at minister's PC (press conference).

And colleauges of other departments are relaxed and friendly when you get to know them over informal event. That's why the people here are like one big family.

And i have a few more assignments for me to complete; which means i've gotta keep on moving!

Family.

Last night was cool as I got to watch Adam Sandler's comedy flick Click, with my colleagues from work; Amanda, Kong and Giam. Oh, i almost not forgot about Giam's friend, Emily. She's currently Giam's Lois Lane. All Giam needs now is a cape and leotard to be Malaysian's own version of Superman.

This is Starlight Cinema 2005, held in Mont Kiara. I believed a few of my classmates when there last year.

This year's Starlight Cinema looks like this lah.

However, i came in not only to enjoy the free ticket and cool outdoor experience, but i was there as a reporter. It's times like this i LOVE being a reporter. But having a better camera would make me a better one, since the photos i took were lousy and had to depend on the PR people for it instead. But i did manage to write the story and submit it to the entertainment editor today, which was hectic as i'm already in a pickle with the supplementary i'm working on.

Sentul Park is in WestSentul!
Ain't it beautiful?
Ain't it obvious?

Anyway, i did enjoy watching the movie. But as i was watching it, i was reminded of a story in Joshua Harris book I Kissed Dating Goodbye.

The story was about this boy who obtained this ball with a string on it. (If you want to watch Click and hate spoilers, try steering clear from this part) He was told that by pulling the string on the ball, he could pass the bad stuff in life in an instant. So, he skipped his exams, fast-forwarded to know how his wife looked like, jumped over problem and leaped quickly into the future. It's then that he realised on his death bed that he didn't enjoy life because he skipped almost everything about it and died feeling empty.

Adam Sandler in CLICK. Like RV, it's a family movie. It's all about ohana. I mean family!

Being another Adam Sandler movie, it failed to be at par like Waterboy, but it's sure funny!

One of the interesting scene of the show;
Ben: Hey Dad! Look at Kevin's new robo-dog!
Michael Newman: [not listening] That's Nice
Kevin O'Doyle: Nice? This thing is worth more than your car.
Michael Newman: [runs over robo-dog] Not anymore it ain't!
Kevin O'Doyle: Robo-Dog!

Well, I guess life is all about going through the good times and the bad times. If you don't go through a hard life, you wouldn't really know how to enjoy a good life. I guess that's why most of us take for granted whatever freedom we have because we don't go through any hardship.

And don't take your family for granted as well. Once their gone, you wish you had spent more time with them. Seriously.

So much work, yet so little time. I wonder if i can extend my internship here in theSun. I'm loving this place and job.

Listen, late last night, I heard the screen door swing,
And a big yellow taxi took my girl away
Now don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot...

Tripping Over Gold.

Sometimes, a bad thing doesn't mean it's all that bad. That this story for instance:

On Wednesday, my colleague Tamarai and i were supposed to cover the hearing of the couple kissing and hugging in KLCC park at the DBKL Magistrate Courts (which, trust me, took me four tries to get the directions to it right!). However, after postponing the time twice, i guess the DPP decided to postpone it to a further date; perhaps when my industrial attachment is over.

Feeling a little disappointed over my "first" court hearing, Tamarai suggested for us to visit the Federal Courts in KL. And lo and behold, there was a hearing going on the robbery case that involved four police officers robbing a family not too long ago. So, we decided to head in and attend the hearing, with other reporters from other papers seated at the bench. Got to know other reporters from Berita Harian, The Star and New Straits Times there. After the hearing was over, we went for lunch and later wrote the story, which appeared in the paper the next day.

I realised a lot of things about Court Reporting;

1. You need really good hearing. Even though there'll be transcripts prepared, but hearing what defence attorneys, lawyers or the Magistrate said is crucial, word for word!

2. Compared to Boston Legal or The Practice, real-life isn't so drama, though tension can still be felt. It's very monotonous and... boring? This was what happened when the DPP questioned the first police officer;

DPP: Anda faham dakwaan yang disebut?
Accused: Faham.
DPP: Adakah anda mengaku bersalah?
Accused: Tidak.

It was the same for the other three. Sorry for being thinking creatively on overdrive mode, but i expected it to be more dramatic, like so;

DPP: Anda faham dakwaan yang disebut?
Accused: Faham.
DPP: Adakah anda mengaku bersalah?
Accused: TTTTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKK!!! SAYA MEMANG TAK BERSALAH! TAK BERSALAH! TOLONG, TOLONG SAYA! SAYA TAK BERSALAH, SUMPAH! TOOOLLLLLLLOOOOONNNNGGGGGG!!!

(followed by the other officers present whacking the estrangled fellow with batons and dragging him out)

*sigh*

3. All reporters are friends. They don't bitch about one another but share information and help one another, despite coming from different press companies. We scratch each other's backs, doing over public duty to inform the public on what really happened.

4. No goody bags, just cold, hard news reporting and a deadline to meet. Journalism isn't about getting free stuff; it's about reporting the facts to the masses and the love of writing.

I have a lot to learn. I need to find which piece of the puzzle i am and where i really fit.

It Has Been Awhile....

And it's been awhile
Since I could hold my head up high
And it's been awhile
Since I first saw you
And it's been awhile
Since I could stand on my own two feet again
And it's been awhile
Since I could call you

Excerpt from Staind's It's Been Awhile

Today was rather eventful. From meeting Aaron Oon for Dim Sum breakfast in Sri Petaling, till the moment i'm writing this blog down!

Anyway, met up with the new UTAR PJ CF committee members this afternoon at the Dewgem's house today. Traffic is a killer, as Ben and i went to get lunch for the comm. It didn't improve when i rushed back to Ampang for practice for service tomorrow.

Anyway, i'm glad that i get to know more people, like Jessica, Jun, David and Cheong Keen. But due to time constrain, i had to hurry back to church, leaving me with basic formality with these new members. I should spend more time with them and get the info from Sui Li tomorrow. But at church, is was then i saw HER once again.

His story about "her"

You know that feeling you have when you met someone you have feelings for after a long time? That exact feeling arouse when i met her again today at church. It's has been a long time since i last saw her.

She's indeed a beauty. Having the curves at the right spot. Her looks, her character, her features captivated me. There are others who are better, but she fits me well. It was like we were met for each other. Since we last met more than five years ago. We had an affair and it used to last almost every weekend. Sometimes, it carries on during the weekdays.

As my fingers touched her, she moaned lowly; beautifully. It's a gift that God gave, and i thank God for this lovely gift. Sliding my fingers to the groove. I enjoyed every moment of intimacy with her. Sometimes i digress. People do make comments about us, by the way we dance. Too loud, too dramatic they say. Sometimes i miss a key, sometimes she does. I try to control myself, but passion got the better of me.

There are times she goes through difficult situation, she becomes cold and quiet; helpless in the middle of everything. At times, i tried, but i couldn't and had to resort to others to fix her back to shape. I panicked; i was pathetic.

But with my commitment with work, i couldn't tango with her that often. Days after days, weeks after weeks, we looked away from each other. Deep inside, i felt lonely; useless. Today however, once again, we met, and i immediately embraced her; enjoying every moment with her like we used to. I don't give a damn of what others say, i just want to be with her.

I wish she was mine, but she belongs to an organisation. Can i buy my love from them? Or should i move on to another? I'm stuck with this dilemma.

But i'm going to see her again tomorrow morning. And once again, we'll waltz with the music. I'll try to watch my steps properly this time, cause the idea of her in my hand is electric. I can't wait to see this beautiful thing again tomorrow. And her melodies voice i long to hear.

Anyway, this is a photo of me and her together:

The lovely Fender Squire Series Four-string Jazz Bass Guitar and me (yes, i had short hair before!) posing for the moment.

What were you wet-salty readers thinking! PERVERTS!

Enjoy a wonderful day tomorrow!

Great Powers, Great Responsiblities!

Got back home from Homegroup meeting at Oliver's place. Glad Iggy's back and managed to join us today.

Before Homegroup, i got a goody bag that contained (gasp!) several bags of Kotex sanitary pads. I was tongue-tied.

Living a job has a reporter has it's ups and downs. You'll meet people, expanding your circle of contacts, widen your horizons and get free stuff (advices and goodies) as you go along. While at the same time, you need to know how to get to places, meet deadlines, produce articles under pressure and face the music now and then.

But the bottomline is if you aren't passionate about writing, journalism isn't the field to be in. Because besides reporting, meeting and calling people up, that's what you'll be doing for life! I love it! Therefore, i write!~

If Clark Kent can move around real fast, can he also think as quick as his fingers move when he writes a story? Hmmm....

Anyway, a few weeks back, Joshua Wong told me i'll be part of the new CF committee. Last week, Angel reminded me about it, and Dewgem comfirmed that statement; i'm the auditor for the UTAR PJ CF.

With great powers, comes great responsiblities... a motto i'll always remember.

This role is situated after the committee members role, putting me at the bottom feeder role. But it doesn't matter. What matters most is that i get the job given to me done, submitting to authority and doing it full heartedly for God. I'll do my best to work with the current committee, consisting of Dewgem, Sui Li, Tan Jo-Anne, Joanne Lee, Michelle, Joshua Wong, and few others i've not met.

I wonder, if you're holding a small post, does that mean your passion and zeal is that small as well? Is your passion as big as your position in the committee? Sometimes, this is why a committee of an society can easily crumble: people are all power-hungry for exco posts.

"Having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. "

2 Corinthians 4:1

Perhaps if people would just put in their 101% effort into they job, no matter what post, projects or tasks given, i guess 60% of failures in a committee can be avoided. What do you think?

"For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."

2 Corinthians 4:6-7

I'm just human that needs God's strength to empower me. I'm no hero, just human.

Anyway, here's a Spider-man 3 trailer:

I prefer the smooth, black symbiote suit look like the ones in the comics to this one. But then again, it's director Sam Raimi's small ideas. The same one like organic weblings and Mary-Jane Watson is Peter's first love. I guess i can shallow it. We'll just see the movie in 2007.

Gems Among Junk

Have you ever been to a flea market?

Nope, it isn't a market where dozens of wet, smelly dogs laze around waiting for the fleas on their backs to hitch hike a ride on another dog or human. Neither do they sell bags of fleas to be cooked.

Perhaps they sell cute flea soft at the flea market?

It's basically a place where people set up stalls to selling old, used stuff. Anything ranging from old antiques, toys, books and more importantly, music vinyl discs and CDs! Original CDs!

Yesterday after lunch at Amcorp Mall, Kimberley, Derek (Kim's bf) and i walked around the flea market there and looking at stuff they have to sell. It was like walk into a place where time has forgotten. Or perhaps it's like walking through the past (if that made more sense!) I'm impressed that they even have rusted keris and Chinese swords on display. But the main highlight is the CDs there!

A flea market in China

Can you believe used, poorly maintained yet original CDs are sold at RM10 per piece!? Yes, the CD might have scratches and the lyric booklet torn, but it's still original! And the best part is you can find good music CDs that aren't available anymore in stores!

I got myself Matchbox Twenty's Mad Season and Hootie and The Blowfish's Cracked Rear View for only RM18! But Kim got a better deal; her untouched Renee Olstead CD, which normally costed at a jazz CD price of RM60 was bought at only RM10! Plus, Derek bought another CD, Sliverchair to add up the total purchase of RM18.

Matchbox Twenty's Mad Season. There was a bonus live CD in it as well. Sweet!

Hootie and The Blowfish's Cracked Rear View. Listening to it and loving it!

I personally believe that a flea market isn't a flea market. Rather, it's a F.L.E.A. market (Functionable-yet-Left-behind Equipments and Antiques Market). This is definately one place i'll come back. I think i'll bring Rowen along next time to see the antique war uniforms they have there. My dad would be estactic, seeing old stuff from the past up for sale there. I would be back for more original CDs!

Of Feasts, Talks and Farewells

That's basically what's been going on since yesterday afternoon till this afternoon. Just that.

It all began yesterday afternoon when i decided to dropby 1 Utama to look for presents for Mary & Martha and Melissa, besides trying to use the discount coupons i have with me. Then other objectives came along, like assisting Kevan to get the Planet Shaker's All That I Want CD, and later chat time with Aaron Oon.

Met up with Aaron Oon in The Curve after getting a t-shirt for Melissa and CD for Kevan, only to discover he had when through lasik eye correction surgery. Was wondering few weeks back whether he went through some manhood-enhancement surgery or something since he was secretive about the surgery then. Later had (green) tea and sushi with him while we chat.

It's been awhile since i met up with him, and i'm glad that he considered me as one of his closest friends. I hope Aaron gets a job soon.

In the evening, i regretfully had to pass Homegroup meeting to attend Emily's farewell dinner. She'll be going off to Germany (or somewhere in UK) to continue her studies. Most of the office colleagues were there, and so was Kathleen, who has finished her internship in theSun couple of weeks back and new friend Dominic, Boon Siew's 8 (or 9?) year old hyperactive-energetic kid! Had fun chit chatting with everyone from the office in a non-office enviroment. Though i was late because of a few wrong turns and Secret Recipe in PJ States is located in a secluded area.

When we all departed, i tried to catch the Homegroup and drove down to Desa Pandan, only to discover it was over. Not wanting my trip to be in vain, i decided to go over to Kevan's house to pass him the CD. Upon arriving there, i was greeted by the Phua family, and had a chat with Aunty Sally. Another nice chat of how i what i'm doing now over some durians and ice cream soda.

She's like a second mom to me, where i can almost pout out my heart, troubles and thoughts to her. She was one of those people who supported and advised me when i became a UTAR reject. Haven't been there very often since i shifted here to Sri Petaling. Walking five minute to Mutiara Condominium to swim was a thing of yesterday. I miss those times, therefore the chat i had with Aunty Sally (and Jeremy butting in occasionally) was refreshing and encouraging.

This morning, i was with the family for Chinese Dim Sum breakfast. Ernest is leaving again for Terengganu after returning a day here for his dental appointment. I guess i wouldn't be seeing him for awhile. But i pray his application for the biotech course he wanted will be approved ASAP.

And not seeing oh-so-busy Justin Botak on Wednesday night with SherMayne was joy to me. I mean, i wasn't glad he gave me a CD for my birthday present, but he took time to come all the way here to check on me (putting aside the fact SherMayne's in OUG!) But it made me happy.

Perhaps i should make time for the little things in life that are important. Without human communication, i think i'm done for!

"Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow
But, if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long 'til
I'm gonna need somebody to lean on"

Mussing about... stuff?

So much to tell, so little time.
Nonsense or senseful, you be the judge.

Basically, i've entered the seventh week of my industrial training; it's definately a preview to what i would be doing once i graduate from university. There are a lot of things going on, that i can't even hear myself think. I guess i should go back home later and clean my room without any music on (perhaps instrumental, but nothing more than that.)

Anyway, here are a list of stuff that's been going on in my head:
Keep forgetting that i'm still studying, not working for life, yet.
Ernest is in Terengganu continuing his studies, coming back to KL soon.
Rowen in TBR, and will be leading Homegroup tomorrow night.
Will be attending Emily's farewell dinner tomorrow.
Justin, who is now working, gave me a Fernando Ortega album, Home.
Kevan is also working, with Kam Fwei.
Oliver is graping, but i hope he gets a job soon.
Still getting used to the leather wallet i got for my birthday present from my Homegroup members cause i'm not use carrying coins separately.
Miss the CF in UTAR.
My spiritual walk is rotting away slowly.
My social life going with it.
Dad is still same old same old.
Self focus is slipping away.
Lots of writing to do.
Lots of things to think about.
Mussings.

I guess i need help, huh? Going against destructive self, i really need to look to God for wisdom, strength and the will to move on.

"And its gone... gone... going...
Gone... everything gone... give a damn...
Gone be the birds when they don't want to sing...
Gone people... up awkward with their things... gone.

You see yourself in the mirror
And you feel safe coz it looks familiar
But you afraid to open up your soul
Coz you don't really know, don't really know
Who he is, the person that's deep within
Coz you are content with just being the name-brand man
And you fail to see that its trivial
Insignificant, you addicted to material...."

Letting It Go!

Sometimes, life isn't just fair.

If life keeps whispering nonsense into your ears, touting you non-stop, go ahead and give that chump a nice, firm headbutt. (see picture)

I believe it takes two to clap, and both parties were wrong. Zidane should have just brush that insult off, while Marco should just pipe down and leave comments to himself.

I still hear comments that Italy won by luck, France should have won and yada yada yada....

For the record, Italy is the FIFA 2006 World Cup champion, period. Take it or bite the apple of harsh reality!

Be warned, don't ever try attempting this on a lady friend or you'll die a million deaths, you salty wet dog!
